We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated History Teacher to join a secondary school in Leeds. This full-time role begins in January 2025 and offers an exciting chance to shape the historical understanding of students from Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Contract: Full time
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates considered)
Requirements:
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE.
- A degree in History or a closely related subject.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to cater to varying learning needs and abilities.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback to students and parents.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high academic standards.
- Contribute to the development of the History department by sharing resources and ideas.
- Support school-wide initiatives, including extracurricular activities and pastoral responsibilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of teaching practices and historical developments.
- Uphold and promote the school's values, safeguarding policies, and commitment to student welfare.
