About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IT Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position starting after Easters until July, with the potential for extension. The role involves delivering high-quality IT and Computing lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, ensuring they develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in computing, coding, and digital literacy.

Contract: Full time
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum for IT and Computing.

- Excellent subject knowledge in IT and Computing.
- Ability to teach a range of IT topics, including coding, databases, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging IT lessons that cater to different learning styles.
- Teach IT and Computing across KS3 and KS4, covering topics such as coding, cybersecurity, networks, and data representation.
- Develop student's programming skills using languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Scratch.
- Integrate real-world applications and emerging technologies into lessons.
- Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student's work.
- Manage and utilise IT resources effectively within the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop an exciting and relevant IT curriculum.
- Ensure lessons align with national curriculum standards and school policies.
- Promote creativity in technology through project-based learning.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives that integrate technology into learning.
