About the Role:
This exciting position offers a full-time opportunity for a dedicated Teacher of IT to join a secondary school in Leeds. You will be teaching KS3 and KS4 IT, supporting students in developing their technical and problem-solving skills. In addition to your subject teaching, you will take on some general cover across other departments and be responsible for a form group.

Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Flexibility to provide general cover across the school.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or HTML.
- Ability to develop engaging and accessible lessons.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to differentiate learning for mixed-ability groups.

Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IT lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Teach a range of IT topics, including coding, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Develop students' digital literacy and problem-solving skills.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Support students in developing key skills such as computational thinking.
- Work collaboratively with the IT department to develop the curriculum.
- Take responsibility for a form group, supporting students' personal development.
- Cover other subjects when required as part of the general cover team.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and school policies.
