We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Law to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds on a part-time basis from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire students.

Location: Leeds

Start Date: January 2025

Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

What We're Looking For

...

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and relevant examination boards.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Skills

Strong knowledge of the subject
Simplifying complex concepts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
Flexibility to meet the diverse needs of learners
Effective planning and time-management skills

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality lessons in Law, ensuring engaging and effective teaching methods.
Plan, prepare, and mark work to support student progress and attainment.
Foster a love for learning and critical thinking through innovative teaching strategies.
Assess, track, and report on student performance in line with school policies.
Support students in preparing for exams, offering tailored guidance where necessary.
Promote inclusive practices to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources and best practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments and integrate them into lessons.
Actively contribute to the wider life of the school, including attendance at meetings and parent consultations.
