About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Maths to join our secondary school in Harrogate. This part-time position (3 days per week) begins in January 2025 and offers the chance to work with motivated students in an environment that values innovation and academic excellence.

Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A strong understanding of the national curriculum for Maths.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Eligibility to work in the UK.

Skills

Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Maths.
Strong classroom management skills.
The ability to inspire and motivate students.
Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum.
Differentiating instruction to cater to the needs of all learners.
Assessing, recording, and reporting on the progress of students.
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Supporting students to develop problem-solving and analytically skills.
Preparing students for exams, including providing targeted intervention sessions.
Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of educational developments in Maths.
Contributing to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities or pastoral duties.
