About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Teacher Of PE to join a secondary school in Leeds from Easter until July. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on student's physical education and overall well-being. You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, coaching extracurricular activities, and promoting a positive sporting culture.

The school has high standards for everyone, values the relationships between students and staff, and is dedicated to the staff's professional and personal growth. Ofsted has rated the school as 'Good'.

Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and assessment requirements.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to a range of abilities.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage participation in extracurricular sports and fitness activities.
Promote teamwork, leadership, and resilience among students.
Organise and oversee school sports events and competitions.
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed during PE lessons.
Work closely with pastoral teams to support students' well-being.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers about student progress.
