This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a secondary school in Leeds. The role involves teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in all areas of Science.

Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
A passion for teaching and inspiring students in Science
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Skills

Excellent subject knowledge of Science
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Classroom management and behaviour management strategies
Strong IT skills for lesson planning and assessment
Creativity and innovation in lesson delivery

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
Plan engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
Prepare students for exams and assessments.
Attend parents' evenings and meet with parents to discuss student progress.
Participate in professional development opportunities to continue your own growth.
Uphold school policies and procedures at all times.
Promote and encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Set high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.
