This Hatfield based school assists students with complex and severe special education needs starting at age six. They are currently seeking a talented, understanding, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to collaborate with their senior team of experts in order to give all of their students the best possible learning and development opportunities.
This is a long term role available to start post Easter.

The right candidate will be working with young people and children alongside the Teachers with a range of Special Education Needs: SEMH , SLD, Autism and ADHD. The school is looking for a confident, creative and resilient behaviour mentor that can build positive learning relationships with young people.

Your requirements to get cleared for this role:
- Experience working with SEN pupils
- Managing challenging behaviour and supporting the class teacher
- Ability to assist teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment for children with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Understanding of autism
- 2 professional references to reference your recent work with SEN children
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to make one
- Eligibility to work in the UK(sponsorship is not available with this role
Some of your responsibilities as a SEN TA:
- Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs
- Lesson/work planning for the students you are working with
- Utilise learning schemes in order to progress your student's learning
- Report back to parents and teachers regarding the students progress
- Supporting children's physical, social and emotional well-being
- Completion of daily records for pupils
- Classroom preparation for the following school day
