• You will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with autism, working closely with the class teacher and other professionals.
• You will implement individualised support plans designed to meet the pupil's specific needs, focusing on both learning and social integration.
• You will utilize your knowledge of positive strategies and techniques for supporting autistic students to create a positive and engaging learning environment both within and outside the classroom.
• You will foster a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success.
• You will be able to demonstrate patience, calmness, and firmness in setting expectations.
• You will be a strong communicator, collaborating closely with the class teacher, other staff, and parents to ensure the pupil's needs are being met.

• Experience of working with children with autism

Details:

• Long-term position, starting after Easter.
• Working hours: 8:45 am - 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday (with a 30-minute lunch break).
