Please note: you must have previous experience as a Team Manager within childrens services and you must be a fully qualified Social Worker within the UK.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Children's Kinship Team Manager to lead our Kinship Care Team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will oversee the support provided to children living with relatives or friends, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and stability. You will play a crucial role in managing the team, developing services, and working collaboratively with families and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and support the Kinship Care Team to deliver high-quality services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee assessments and care planning processes for children in kinship care arrangements.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate service performance, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Manage complex cases and make informed decisions to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Prepare and present reports for case reviews, panels, and other meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England.
- Substantial experience in children's social work, including management or supervisory roles.
- In-depth knowledge of kinship care, child protection, and relevant legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
Minimum Requirements:
-SWE Registration
-2 year post qualifying experience within UK
-Eligibility to work in the UK
