The Role
As Technical Operations Supervisor, you'll oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance requirements. You'll support a team of engineers and liaise closely with contractors, site teams, and clients to maintain service standards across the board.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day technical operations, including mechanical, electrical, and building fabric services.
Allocate tasks and oversee the performance of engineers and technicians.
Support the delivery of the PPM schedule and ensure timely response to reactive maintenance requests.
Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety legislation and company procedures.
Conduct site inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement or risk mitigation.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate records using CAFM systems, including job logs, compliance checks, and asset data.
Provide hands-on support for technical issues where necessary.
What We're Looking For
âś… Essential:
A recognised qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
Proven experience in a similar supervisory or senior engineer role within facilities management or building maintenance.
Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, plant, and compliance regulations.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership.
Competency with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.

IOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
Experience in commercial, public sector, or critical environments.
Familiarity with energy-saving initiatives or sustainability practices.
