As the Technical Services Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing the operational efficiency of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. You will lead a team of engineers, ensuring that all systems are well-maintained and compliant with relevant regulations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical expertise and team management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring all technical services and building systems are functioning efficiently.
- Oversee the planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and other essential systems.
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules, ensuring all systems are up to industry standards and fully compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor service performance against KPIs and SLAs, ensuring high levels of service delivery.
- Coordinate and liaise with external contractors and vendors to manage specialist technical services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to your team, ensuring a high level of technical expertise across all systems.
- Manage budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technical Services Manager in Facilities Management.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, etc.) and maintenance management.
- Experience in managing and developing technical teams.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant compliance, safety standards, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, HNC, HND, or equivalent) preferred.
