About the Role:
- Short-Term Interventions: Focus on short-term interventions and signposting, empowering students to develop self-management skills and find solutions for common student concerns, such as anxiety, stress, transition challenges, procrastination, and exam panic.
- Solution-Focused Approach: Utilise evidence-based tools and techniques to help students build self-help skills.
- Supportive Environment: Create a safe and confidential environment where students feel comfortable sharing their challenges and working towards their goals.
What We Offer:
- Set your own schedule to suit your availability and student needs.
- £25-£27 per hour.
- Potential to expand your role to include other support services, such as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor, both remotely and in-person.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Member of BACP or NCPS
- Monthly clinical supervision to maintain professional standards
- Counsellor Insurance
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Enhanced DBS check
- Experience working in a university setting
- Experience managing a caseload of clients
- Ability to quickly assess and prioritise student needs
- Strong risk assessment and management skills
