We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Works Manager to join our team on a freelance basis, working on a critical water treatment project for Severn Trent in Leicestershire. This project offers the chance to contribute to essential water infrastructure while working on a dynamic and impactful project.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and managing all aspects of site operations, ensuring efficient and safe execution of works.
- Overseeing the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Implementing and maintaining strict health and safety protocols on site.
- Liaising with Severn Trent representatives, project stakeholders, and external bodies.
- Managing budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to achieve project goals.
- Monitoring progress, reporting on performance, and resolving any issues promptly.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Works Manager on water treatment projects, ideally within the water industry.
- A strong understanding of construction techniques, health and safety regulations, and quality control processes specific to water treatment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., project management software, AutoCAD).
