We are excited to announce an opening for a Year 1 Teacher to work at an amazing Primary School in Watford on a part time role to start from January 2025.
This part time position is available for 2.5 days a week on a fixed term contract and is paid to scale, ensuring you are rewarded for your hard work and commitment.

Responsibilities of a Year 1 teacher:
- Ability to communicate with and encourage children with additional needs.
- Dedicated interest in children's education and creating the best learning environment.
- Positive outlook and attitude.
- Knowledge of various teaching methods.
- Good organisational and verbal communication skills.
- Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure.
- Delivering engaging lessons
- Using your own subject knowledge and teaching skills to bring set work to life
- Managing the behaviour within the classroom
A successful candidate must have:
- A degree qualification in teaching (PGCE) along with a QTS
- Experienced in Teaching Year 1 or Early years
- An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
- Eligibility to work in the UK Essential (sponsorship is not available with this role)
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
- Relevant professional teaching references
- Being passionate about teaching and learning
- Tailoring your approach to the individual needs of children where necessary
