Randstad Education is currently working with a large infants school in the Chelmsford area. Our client school is looking for a Year 2 teacher to join their team from September, for 1 term initially, although there may be scope for this to extend if circumstances allow. The school in question prides itself on establishing strong foundations of a pupil's lifelong learning skills while at the same time nurturing personal qualities which benefit both the pupil and ultimately the wider community. Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified teaching status) is essential.
- Relevant qualifications (PGCE or similar).
- An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) or the willingness to obtain one
- Knowledge of primary curriculum (KS1 & KS2).
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- To be passionate and dedicated about school improvement.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver lesson plans in an engaging way by using a variety of teaching approaches to effectively engage students in their learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute the overall success of the schools and students.
