Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to the Year 3 curriculum, ensuring all pupils are challenged and supported in their learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
- Monitor and assess student progress through effective marking, feedback, and regular assessments, using this to inform planning.
- Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or additional support strategies for pupils with specific learning needs.
- Implement and maintain effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a safe and respectful classroom environment.
- Organise and participate in educational trips, assemblies, and extracurricular activities to enhance the learning experience.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources, best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the school.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing updates on pupil progress and addressing any concerns.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school events.
Requirements:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 3.
- Strong subject knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Proven classroom management skills, ensuring a productive and respectful learning environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to helping children achieve their potential.
- Eligible to work in the UK without any restrictions (NO Sponsorship).
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Familiarity with current educational policies and practices, including safeguarding and inclusion.
