How can I check if I am getting paid?
If your timesheet is showing as "sent to supplier" before 5pm Monday you can be confident that you will be paid on Friday as normal. In the case of a bank holiday we will send communication out about revised deadlines.

What are the timesheet deadlines?
All timesheets need to be authorised by 5pm Monday in order to ensure payment Friday. If your timesheet is authorised after this deadline your timesheet will be paid the following week. If you work for the Vale of Glamorgan Council the deadline is 5pm Tuesday.

When do I get paid?
You will be paid a week in arrears assuming your timesheet is authorised by the deadline (please see timesheet deadlines for more info) This means that if you leave Randstad your final timesheet will be paid to you the week after you have worked your last week.

How do I claim holiday pay?
This can be done by email or by phone. Please email your approved holiday requests to cardiff@randstad.co.uk . You can only have holiday paid if you have taken the time off work. We are unable to pay out holiday on top of worked hours so please be sure to leave the day(s) blank on your timesheet if you wish to claim a holiday.

How is holiday pay calculated?
Holiday pay is accrued into a holiday pot ready for when you wish to take a well earned break from work. This accrues on a weekly basis dependent on hours worked. If you work a 37 hours week you can expect to accrue approx 4.5 hours.

When do I have to use my holiday?
The holiday year runs from 1st February to 31st January. You can claim for holiday pay at any point you take annual leave in the holiday year.All accrued holiday must be taken by the 31st January. You cannot claim for the previous years holiday pay after this date

How do I report sickness?
If you are unable to attend work due to illness or any other reason, please make sure you call the office at least an hour before the start of your shift. If this is outside of our office hours please leave a message. For extended period of sickness if you feel you are entitled to SSP please send us a sick note by email to cardiff@randstad.co.uk.
