Equity Through Opportunity underpins everything we do, aligning with our commitment to creating a society reflective of our vision and the Global Randstad strategy. Through partnerships, we aim to provide clients with opportunities to engage with diverse talent markets, delivering tangible outcomes through case studies and social value, showcasing real impact whilst addressing critical societal challenges.

Our strategy focuses on three key areas to drive societal impact and create lasting change:

young people

Supporting the most disadvantaged NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people to secure employment and build brighter futures.
mental health

Advancing research and initiatives to support mental health in the workplace, ensuring individuals can thrive.
inclusivity

Enabling employment opportunities for marginalised groups, including women, refugees, disabled and neurodivergent people, the long-term unemployed, and racially minoritised individuals.

mental health foundation

The Mental Health Foundation is a UK charity focused on preventing mental health issues through research, advocacy, and public engagement. It promotes awareness, early intervention, and evidence-based solutions, addressing inequalities and supporting vulnerable communities to create a society where mental well-being is universally valued.

Randstad is funding the first State of the Nation report which will focus on employers and the workplace.

tent

The Tent UK Coalition, led by 70 major companies, integrates refugees into the British workforce through hiring, training, and mentorship. Addressing labor shortages and employment gaps, it empowers refugees, including many from Ukraine and Syria, to rebuild lives and support the UK economy.

Randstad is a member of the Tent coalition. We work with local partners to create employment opportunities for refugees, and provide careers advice through the mentoring programme.

king's trust

The King’s Trust supports young people aged 11 to 30 facing challenges like unemployment, poor education, and mental health struggles. Its "Change a Girl’s Life" campaign and Brilliant Breakfast initiative empower young women through targeted programs, fundraising, and mentorship.

Randstad will be hosting Brilliant Breakfast events with clients and colleagues and are committed to donate a minimum of £10,000.

enactus

Enactus UK, part of the global Enactus network, inspires 4,000 students across 60 UK universities to address social and environmental challenges through entrepreneurial action. Students form teams, create sustainable projects, receive mentorship, and compete nationally to represent the UK at the Enactus World Cup.

As an employment partner Randstad will be supporting students with their ‘career catalyst’ programme.

movement to work

The Movement to Work Coalition is a UK initiative addressing youth unemployment by providing work experience, skills training, and employment opportunities for disadvantaged young people (16–30). Partnering with employers, charities, and educational groups, it focuses on social mobility and sustainable pathways to employment.

Randstad is a coalition employment partner, working across a number of projects with charities like Street League, YMCA and Centrepoint.

restart

The Restart Programme, a partnership between REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) and DWP (Department for Work and Pensions), supports long-term unemployed individuals. It offers tailored assistance, skills training, and job placement services to promote sustainable employment opportunities and career growth.
armed forces covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is a UK commitment ensuring fair treatment and support for service members, veterans, and their families. It aims to remove disadvantages faced due to military service and enhance access to housing, healthcare, education, and employment.
STEM learning

STEM learning focuses on promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. Its ambassador scheme engages professionals to inspire students, offering hands-on experiences, mentoring, and career insights, aiming to increase interest and diversity in STEM fields across various age groups.
