FAQs
-
holiday for PAYE workers.
Holiday entitlement is 35 days (including bank holidays) as standard unless you work a shift pattern in which case your entitlement will be confirmed in your contract.
If Randstad manages your tax and national insurance then you will be entitled to holiday pay as defined below.
As a PAYE worker, you are entitled to accrue holiday. As an example, holiday is worked out from an average of the last 12 weeks you have worked, these totals are then all added up and divided by 60 (12 weeks worked x 5 days a week = total number of days worked). If you earn different amounts every week this can change the value of your holiday payment. Holiday is paid in 0.5 day segments.
The holiday calendar year runs from Jan - Jan. All holiday accrued within this time needs to be booked and taken within that time period. If you do not have holiday accrued then payment cannot be made. Additional holiday can be accrued and backdated if required. If your assignment is finished and you have holiday accrued and not taken, this will be paid to you if this is before the end of the holiday year.
To request holiday or to check how much holiday you have available you simply need to email cpepayroll@randstad.co.uk with your request.

timesheet process.
It is ultimately your responsibility to ensure your time is recorded and submitted correctly each week, by 5:30 on Tuesdays so that Randstad are able to process timely payment. Payments are processed and paid on a weekly basis (Fridays) unless otherwise agreed at the start of your assignment. Please check with your line manager if it is you who needs to submit your timesheet or your area administrator.

If you become ill and unable to attend work you must contact us and your manager before your usual start time. If you are not able to attend work for more than one day you will need to get in touch each day of your absence.
