These schools are now diversifying and creating Bilingual education schools aimed at Chinese nationals whilst being supported by and honouring the school group's well-rounded approach to education, which not only prioritises academic achievement but also helps to bring out the best in each pupil.
The Chongqing Campus opened in August 2020 offering early years and Primary education initially but will grow to be a fill K - 12 school with Grade 12 to open in August 2024.
Location Overview: Chongqing is the largest city in southwest China. Within its borders it encompasses a wealth of water reserves, dense forests, and abundant flora and fauna. The city is famous for its hot Sichuan cuisine and world-famous hotpot dishes. The cost of living in Chongqing is very low; good quality low-cost food is readily available. The cost of transportation is low as is the nightlife. It is possible to get Western goodies and essentials; Subways and Starbucks are plentiful, and new restaurants and authentic Western-style restaurants and cafes are sprouting up all over the city.
Chongqing remains one of the lowest cost of living cities in China and is a great choice for those wishing to save money.
Requirements:
Teachers should have 2+ years of post-qualifying experience and a good understanding of independent school practice and philosophy. The school prefers teachers with UK curriculum experience with previous international or EAL experience an advantage.
The academic staff is selected for their genuine interest in their subject and the ability to convey that interest to students and raise expectations for success. Teachers here are committed to their profession and in addition to their subject teaching are all able to offer experiences outside the classroom to ensure that all students are motivated, confident, courteous, aim for the highest standards in all areas and thoroughly enjoy the challenge of learning. As a fairly new school - teachers need to be open minded, resilient and keen to contribute to the future success of the school.
