Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a range of assessments to evaluate the needs of children and families referred to our services
• Conduct section 47 inquiries to investigate concerns of child maltreatment or neglect
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish and implement long-term plans for families, including the initiation of court proceedings if necessary
• Prioritise the needs of children and families and ensure timely and appropriate support is provided
• Transfer families to family support teams if intervention extends beyond three months
• Maintain a manageable caseload of 20-22 children, adjusting as necessary based on the complexity of the cases
• Provide empathetic and supportive services to families experiencing crisis situations, demonstrating a child-focused approach and remaining calm and composed in unpredictable circumstances

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning
