Responsibilities:
- Hold a protected caseload of Child Protection and CiN.
- There may be opportunity also to work in the court arena and undertake proceedings.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs, including risk assessments and analysis of parenting capacity.
- Develop and implement effective intervention plans to address identified concerns and improve outcomes for children and families.
- Provide direct support to children and families, offering guidance, advice, and access to appropriate services and resources.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, therapists, and legal representatives, to ensure coordinated and holistic support for families.
- Prepare high-quality reports and attend court hearings, presenting evidence and recommendations clearly and professionally.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all work and maintain strict confidentiality by legal and ethical guidelines.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures about child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective intervention plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, managing a complex caseload and meeting deadlines.
- High level of emotional resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
